My Reading Pace for ChatGPT
Reading practice,
inside ChatGPT.
A reading check, two ways to practice, and room to go at your own pace.
My Reading Pace is a free English reading-practice plugin from Infolily. Check your pace with a device timer, or go directly to eye-fixation or comprehension practice. No My Reading Pace account is required.
The plugin is currently available through a private ChatGPT installation. A public listing link will be added after approval. You can already practice on this website.
Check your reading pace
Home keeps Start visible, with Practice directly accessible. Preview the sample, then choose Start reading when ready. Finish shows words per minute, word count and elapsed time for a valid uninterrupted attempt. Reading the sample beforehand can affect the result.
Practice with focus points
Begin with two real text lines, then follow small points through a continuous passage. The points adapt to word groups and line width. Adjust Guide pace, pause, step backward or restart. Guide pace is a pacing aid, not measured reading speed or eye tracking. Practice time excludes setup, the demo, pauses and background time; ending early says Practice ended.
Check your understanding
Choose one of six texts, read at your own pace and answer five questions. Review or edit your choices before explicitly checking. Explanations show why each answer fits the passage. Choosing Stay before replacing an unfinished reading keeps your answers.
Estimate time for your own text
Paste text in the plugin view and edit the assumed pace to estimate reading time. This is an estimate, not a measured test. Your pasted text stays in the view’s memory; our service does not receive or save it.
Save a result image
A valid device-timed result can create a 1600 × 900 image containing its actual pace, word count and elapsed time. Use supported sharing or saving, including the image-preview menu when a direct download is unavailable. The plugin does not post anything automatically.
Know what a result means
These are informal exercises for adults reading English, not standardized assessments or measures of overall ability. The passages and questions are AI-generated and reviewed by Codex AI, without independent human review or difficulty calibration. No reading improvement is guaranteed.
